The Secret of Hair Growth Pills

By Rachela Forcellese

Lately, there seems to be a growing trend in celebrity endorsed hair chews, guaranteeing your hair will grow so many inches per month, and somehow charging $30 per bottle. For a while, I was on the bandwagon but couldn’t actually afford to spend that much money on something I wasn’t sure would even work.

Then, I did my research and I discovered that there are alternatives to these trendy gummies. The expensive chews do indeed contain important ingredients for hair growth. But, nobody has to spend that much money on a product.

If you’re looking to lengthen your locks, try adding these 5 things to your diet:

This vitamin is almost always present in hair care pills. It helps boost your metabolism,  and if you have a deficiency it can help strengthen the keratin in your hair and nails, causing thicker, healthier hair. However, it’s important to monitor your Biotin intake. It can cause cystic acne, as well as high blood sugar, so it’s important to only take the recommended dose.

Vitamin D

My doctor told me that most people are Vitamin D deficient, and that it’s important for many healthy functions in the body. It can help fight depression and also assists in bone growth. Weirdly enough, it can also contribute to hair growth, and help treat balding in particular. Vitamin D helps to rejuvenate hair follicles, helping hair to grow again.

Folic Acid

If you are not consuming enough folic acid it could possibly result in hair loss. Much like Vitamin D, it helps rejuvenate the hair follicles, helping hair to grow in healthy and strong. It also prevents thinning of the hair and brittle dry breakage.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is important in hair growth because it helps produce collagen, which is found in the hair. If you are Vitamin C deficient, your hair may be thin and brittle. Collagen also helps fight damages and hair loss against free radicals. By consuming more Vitamin C, you can thicken and strengthen your hair.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is great for scalp health, which is crucial for a healthy head of hair. It has fatty acids in it that help to deep condition the roots, and it can also be used to moisturize the scalp. In order to get your hair healthy and growing quickly, you must literally start at the roots, and coconut oil is a great scalp essential.

Do keep in mind that nothing is going to make your hair grow overnight. And it’s always a good rule of thumb to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine. By keeping a healthy lifestyle and consuming the right vitamins, your hair and skin will see visible benefits.
