Mary Yeotsas Van de Graaf grew up in suburban Connecticut, but fell in love with New York City at a young age. She moved to New York for college (she has a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a Master’s in Public Health) and has never left. She is a scientific researcher turned fundraiser and self-described urbanist. She loves design, food, spending time in parks, and learning about people. In her spare time she enjoys cooking in her tiny kitchen, crocheting blankets, practicing yoga, hiking, drawing, reading, and organizing her closets. She lives on the Upper East Side with her husband and a few too many plants.
